Finished reading Spear by Nicola Griffith. StoryGraph link

I always find it weird when "short" books take a while to read. I don't know why, but this was one of them. I enjoyed it though. A good pace, interesting characters, didn't dwell or repeat the same things multiple times as much as Assassin's Quest did. But what was similar about that book and this one was the characters thinking about something, like a piece of clothing, and being able to trace it back to the person who made it, the plant it was from, the soil it was grown in. I don't know why that was a common theme in these two books, but I always find it interesting when some concept is present in different books.
